PARIS FASHION WEEK WENT VIRAL AND YOU’RE ON THE LIST

Velvet Ropes, private parties and coveted designer invites that feel like you’ve hit the ultimate jackpot; PFWSS25 (Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025) is typically synonymous with exclusivity. This past September, PFW sponsor and beauty giant, L’Oréal Paris decided to make an iconic edit to the regular run of show by taking over one of the most idyllic, historic and elegant venues in the city, Place de l’Opéra, the world’s most famous opera house, to host a free, open-to-the-public runway presentation. The Le Défilé/Walk Your Worth event was a celebration and spectacle of empowerment and inclusion, fusing high fashion with an important message that did not go unnoticed: women are powerful, bold and beautiful in every form.

When you think of L’Oréal, does the phrase, “Because I’m worth it,” come to mind? It might come as a shock – this iconic tagline is over 40 years old. It has been around since the early 70’s - when a young New York copywriter, Ilon Specht, first penned the phrase and it was a nod to the women’s rights movement of the era. Today we might side-eye the idea of a cosmetics brand claiming feminist roots, back then it was groundbreaking. L’Oréal had women talking for themselves in their ads - meanwhile, competitive brands of the time still had men doing all the talking over silent models. L’Oréal was ahead of its time.

“This was a movement—a proud declaration that empowered beauty breaks every barrier and transcends every limit,” she said. With each stride on the runway, the models and ambassadors not only flaunted the latest in beauty and fashion but also sent a message of strength, solidarity, and self-worth.”

Fast forward to PFS25 shows and L’Oréal Paris is still leading the way in feminism and femininity. The catwalk featured a diverse group of international ambassadors and fashion designers, highlighting an assortment of unique styles and looks that demonstrated the strength and sophistication of women everywhere.

Global icons like Camila Cabello, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Kendall Jenner, and Eva Longoria graced the runway, alongside models with prosthetic limbs, activists, and influencers, Brazilian supermodel Luma Grothe proudly sported her baby bump, carrying a unified message of beauty that transcends all barriers. The theme of “Walk Your Worth” was introduced by singer Celine Dion and vibrated the evening, encouraging women to embrace their self-worth and be proud of their individuality.

One of the best parts? There was a huge tech component, Amazon, Instagram and Roblox were in on it too. For the first time ever, the online retailer and streaming service teamed up with L’Oréal Paris to livestream the show. Viewers could tune in online using Fire TVs, getting front-row access from the comfort of their homes. The collections were also instantly shoppable, merging fashion, tech and a celebration of sisterhood and empowerment into just one click.

If you’re feeling any FOMO (fear of missing out), there’s no need to worry – you have an open invitation. Anyone who wasn’t lucky enough to catch the Paris show in-person or watch the live-stream, with a Wi-Fi connection can find the entire event on Amazon Prime or the L’Oréal Paris site.
