CELEBRITIES HAVE BEEN SPOTTED WEARING GOLDIE TEES, HERE’S WHAT THEY LOVE ABOUT THEM

It’s pretty much a given that anything actress Gwyneth Paltrow wears becomes an instant cult classic. When Goldie Tees founder Debbie Rudoy realized that her brand would be working with GOOP, Paltrow’s lifestyle and wellness company, she knew something special was about to be born.
“We initially reached out to GOOP to explore the possibility of selling our products on their platform,” Rudoy says. “They placed an order for our Organic Boy Tee, which became - and continues to be - a best-seller on their site. Gwyneth Paltrow was later photographed wearing the tee for a special promotion, giving our brand incredible visibility.”

Today, Goldie Tees has been spotted on the likes of actresses and influencers, including Tinx, Katie Holmes, Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez. It’s a celebrity connection Rudoy doesn’t take for granted. “Celebrity endorsements bring greater visibility to our niche, sustainable brand,” she says. “A well-known figure wearing Goldie helps generate brand awareness, credibility and consumer trust, often leading to increased demand and sales.”
The brand was founded in 2016 and offered just four designs for wardrobe staples. It has since expanded to include 20 core styles in an effort to keep up with demand.
Gomez, for her part, opted for a white tee with a pointelle collar, aptly called the Signature Pointelle Tee, styling it under overalls in an Instagram snap with fiancé Benny Blanco. Hale wore the Goldie Signature Long Sleeve Waffle Henley tucked into jeans underneath a printed jacket. Style icon Jennifer Lawrence even styled the Girlfriend Tee as part of an effortlessly chic look.
Rudoy doesn’t take her position as a celebrity-endorsed brand in the fashion industry lightly. Part of what she says makes Goldie Tees to appealing celebrities - and to everyone - is its attention to detail, the quality of the clothing and the sustainable ethos behind the brand. Everything is made with high-quality cotton that is sustainably sourced in Peru, so each piece is literally built to last without harming the environment. Every garment is harvested, spun, knitted, dyed, and sewn within a small regional supply chain, creating a localized production process that ensures high quality, ethical practices, and a lower environmental impact. It also ensures the core clothes in your wardrobe are purposeful, useful and repeatedly wearable.

“Staple pieces are the foundation of a versatile wardrobe,” Rudoy explains. “They can be effortlessly styled for everyday wear, work, or evening looks. At Goldie, we believe in creating timeless essentials that transition seamlessly from day to night, casual to elevated, blending fashion-forward pieces with our core styles. By creating sustainable basics, we ensure our products have a reduced environmental impact while still offering premium quality and timeless design.”
The ever-popular Organic Boy Tee - the one Paltrow wore in the photoshoot - certainly fits the bill. It’s a simple, crew-neck, loose-fitting t-shirt and it comes in basic hues like white and black, as well as more bold choices like pink and blue. It seems simple enough, but the idea of crafting basics to build on - pieces that can serve as a springboard for a unique look - was born out of years of experience.
“I have a deep-rooted background in the apparel industry,” Rudoy says. “I gained extensive knowledge during my time at Kaleidoscope, a New York City-based design studio specializing in textile and apparel design. Additionally, I spent over 16 years running my boutique in Sag Harbor, The Hamptons, New York.”
That boutique was called Lifestyle, and it remains close to Debbie today - in 2019, it was reimagined to become Goldie Tees’ flagship store, tucked in one of the most iconic, celebrity-packed neighbourhoods in the world. But, while celebrity endorsement and brand awareness grow, Goldie Tees’ promise of sustainability and core function remain unwavering.
